Borrowed this book last saturday at Book Central, i am not a fan of Danielle Steel but when i saw this, i said i might give this a try. And so i did. Surprisingly, i enjoyed the book. It was one of those books that can make a good movie.. It makes you cry – it made me cry actually. The part where Gabriella was abused by her own mother, it makes you think of yourself as a parent. The story tells you how important love and care for a child is. It tells you how much children needs that care for them to grow as responsible, loving adults.
The issues enveloped in this books are gripping even scandalous ( postulates to priests – it might happen right?) at the same time it shows people the effect of child abuse.
But this isn’t one of those books that you want for light reading – it like watching one of those tele dramas where they cry a lot. It grips your heart too much.
